This is such a happy little song. How can you listen to it and feel down afterwards? I'm a newbie to Starsky & Hutch. I watched the show, like every other teenager I knew, when it was on (though admittedly drifted away when my fav, Hutch, grew that ridiculous moustache...), but had never really had any urge to become involved in the fandom. Ms. Callisto changed all that by sending some fic recs my way. It didn't take long before the urge to do something creative struck. I began with a vid. I wanted to capture the fun, the chemistry, and the energy that existed between David Soul & Paul Michael Glaser during the run of the show. Critics of the program say it was too cute, too unrealistic, too silly. Maybe. Sometimes. But it was also immensely moving (I tear up just thinking about the final scene of Starsky's Lady), funny, exciting. And danged, but those guys were good together. I hope that comes across with this vid. |
