This is a Sweet Charity vid, bid on and won by the lovely and talented Kat. Sweet Charity is a fannish charity event held twice a year where creatives across all fandoms offer their talents for auction. Bidders can choose from stories, vids, graphics, jewelry, clothing and so much more. All money raised is donated to a particular charity. If you're interested, you can learn more here. Kat is a fan of Pros, Starsky & Hutch and The Sentinel. She had a hankering for a Pros vid. She gave me a few different songs to choose from. Together, we decided to go with The Warrior (which happened to be her first choice!). Kat was generous enough to offer me a lot of leeway in terms of content. All she asked was that Doyle be the title character. I decided to embrace the whole 80's pop vibe with, as my beta PRZed called them, Krazy Kredits. Then I tried to have some fun with archetypes. One of the challenges with songs whose lyrics repeat is finding ways to make the repeats interesting. Hopefully, I succeeded. |
